POSTPONED: Child in the City Seminar – How to make children’s rights mainstream in local policy planning

As previously advised earlier this month via our website, the Child in the City Foundation and City of Cascais have taken the difficult but unavoidable decision to postpone this September’s planned international seminar until May 2022.

The continuing COVID-19 measures which have affected, and continue to impact on, every country in the world and, of course, all of our supporters and partners, means that we are unable to safely provide the type of event we had so been looking forward to.

The seminar, How to make children’s rights mainstream in local policy planning, was due to be held on 9 & 10 September.

Child in the City Foundation met recently with officials from Cascais and, with public safety always the priority, we made the joint decision that postponing the event was the only decision that could be taken.

The situation in Portugal remains fluid, and it is with this in mind that we, and the City of Cascais, have taken the decision we have. Anyone who has registered to attend the event, either as a presenter or observer, will be contacted personally in due course.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in Cascais next May.
