Call for abstracts on children and digital media extended

The rapid speed of technological change brings new and constant challenges for children and their digital rights. Which is why we seek insights from different perspectives and disciplines. If you would like to speak at the conference please submit your abstract here.

On September 24th-26th 2018 the 9th Child in the City World Conference will be held in Vienna, Austria.

Themes of the Conference

During the conference the following themes will be examined;

  • Equality and diversity in the child friendly city
  • Children’s rights in urban development and regeneration
  • Mobility and access to the child friendly city
  • Children and young people and media.

We have already received submissions for all four themes but we are extending our call for papers f0r the theme ‘Children and young people and media’.

Since 2002, every two years, the Child in the City Foundation organises the Child in the City World Conference. Each year the World Conference has been held in a different European city and has been attended by 300 delegates. The conference provides the opportunity for children’s professionals, city planners, geographers, researchers and policymakers to share knowledge, good practice and research findings from the various disciplines that are important to the shared aim of creating child-friendly cities.

You can submit your abstract until the 31st of January 2018.

More information about the conference can be found here.
