CP4Europe webinar on child-friendly communication in crisis situations

UNICEF/UN0605554/Remp Families arrive in Berdyszcze, Poland, after crossing the border from Ukraine.

The Council of Europe (CoE) is holding a webinar, ‘Child-friendly communication in crisis situations’, on Monday April 4.

Organised within the framework of the joint project, CP4Europe – Strengthening National Child Participation Frameworks and Action in Europe, the aim of the event is to help promote a child’s right to be heard and informed in a way understandable to them in complex and sensitive contexts such as the conflict in Ukraine.

Organisers say it will be an opportunity to discuss meaningful ways of interacting with children who are, directly or indirectly, affected by crisis situations, in a ‘child-friendly and constructive manner’.

The CP4 experts will be on hand to share practical tips and techniques for communicating with different groups of children about different types of crisis situations. Click here to see the programme.

The webinar, which is being held in English only, takes place on April 4 from 1030 to 1300 hours Central European Time. Click here to visit the registration page.
