‘Power of Play’ online conference rescheduled for April

The Children and Childhood Network at the University of Birmingham has rearranged its upcoming Power of Play conference, which was earlier postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will now be held online on 16 April 2021.

The overarching theme of the event is ‘the Power of Play’ in research, policy, and practice. Presenters and attendees will include doctoral researchers, academics, teachers and educators, and professional organisations from around the world.

Organisers say the conference’s aim is ‘to begin a conversation between teachers, academics, and play practitioners to see how we can work together to learn more about play, bring play to the children in our lives, and share the amazing and varied benefits of play with others’.

Places at the online event are free of charge.
