New conference board Child in the City

Child in the City will have a new conference board. The Child in the City Foundation together with the City of Vienna will form the new conference programme committee for the upcoming World Conference.

To ensure the continuity of this conference and its important role, the Child in the City Foundation and the ENCFC have ended their collaboration. This means an end of the status quo in the reviewing process of the papers for the upcoming Child in the City World Conference in Vienna (Austria).

From now on the quality of the Child in the City Seminars and Conferences will be guaranteed through the conference programme committee formed by the respective host-cities, representatives of communities, scientists, researchers and civil workers working with children’s rights and policy.

Paper reviewing process for CitC Vienna World Conference

We are very proud that almost 200 papers were submitted after the call for papers for the Child in the City World Conference in Vienna. Due to the negotiations with ENCFC the reviewing process was delayed. With the new programme committee this enormous work can now go forward and all paper submitters will be informed about the acceptance of their papers before the 1st of april 2018.

About the Child in the City Foundation

The Child in the City Foundation is an international public private partnership and the corporate social responsibility project of our partner ProMedia Group and it’s founders. The aim of the foundation is to promote the rights and wellbeing of children throughout Europe and beyond, by providing high quality platforms – news, blogs, interviews, papers, opinions, conferences and events – for the communities of interest working to develop good practice in the creation of genuinely child-friendly cities.

ProMedia Europoint acts as the professional conference organiser and publisher assigned by the foundation. Since 2002 the foundation has successfully organised the bi-annual Child in the City World Conference in Brugge, Stuttgart, Rotterdam, London, Firenze, Zagreb, Odense and Ghent. The next Child in the City world conference is planned for 24th – 26th of September 2018 in Vienna, Austria.
